What is it ?
Literally Taizé is small hamlet in the Burgundy region of central France.  
Since the 1960s, 'Taizé' has also become synonymous with a particular tradition of sung, meditative Christian prayer.   
The 'Taize prayers' are at the heart of the life of  ecumenical community that lives and works, both in Taizé and in some of the poorest parts of the world.
